ADRN KICKS-OFF GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION OF HOPE FAMILY THRIFT STORE WITH AUSTIN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY
Austin, TX – The Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) is a Christian, non-profit organization that is made up of 130 churches and over 3,800 trained volunteers that sponsor families affected by disaster, great or small.
The Hope Family Thrift Store was created to help ADRN in their mission to support disaster survivors and families, as well as:
- Support the mission of ADRN
- Provide a place for volunteers to help their community
- Raise awareness and support for local disasters
- Provide needed goods to families affected by disaster and those
hurting in the community through vouchers
ADRN and Hope Family Thrift Store (HFTS), located at 1122 East 51st Street, Austin, Texas 78723, invites the city of Austin to join them on Thursday, March 12th at 9:20 AM for a Ribbon Cutting ceremony presented by the Austin Chamber of Commerce. The dedication is open to the public and will include snacks, drinks and more. Spirit 105.9 and Community Impact Newspaper will be onsite to help cover the event and provide support, along with providing various give away prizes for those present at the event. We encourage our media friends in the community to come out and discover our new store. The official Grand Opening is scheduled for Saturday, March 14th, 2015 from 10AM – 6PM. On Grand Opening day there will be treats and a bounce house for kids. We invite our friends, the community and the city of Austin to come out and enjoy the event. It is free and open to the public.
Our store is receiving all types of donated items except for mattresses, baby cribs or car seats, broken torn or stained furniture, and torn, stained or worn-out clothing. Items may be dropped off at the HFTS receiving dock at the back of the building between the hours of 10AM – 6PM, Monday-Saturday.
