FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AUSTIN DISASTER RELIEF NETWORK’S HOPE FAMILY THRIFT STORE
HELPS SURVIVORS OF DISASTERS
Austin, TX – The Hope Family Thrift Store (HFTS) was created to help ADRN in their mission to support disaster survivors and families, as well as support the overall mission of ADRN. In lieu of the store’s Ribbon Cutting ceremony with the Austin Chamber of Commerce on March 12th and their Grand Opening on March 14th, the store announces that two families have already been assisted before their doors officially open. Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN), a Christian, non-profit organization that is made up of 130 churches and over 3,800 trained volunteers that sponsor families affected by disaster, are still assisting survivors of the Central Texas Floods from October 2013. ADRN has partnered with Austin Couch Potatoes to help survivors that have asked for assistance with their furniture needs.
Survivors that are needing assistance may contact ADRN by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Requests, with regards to furniture needs, should come directly to ADRN.
The Hope Family Thrift Store is receiving all types of donated items except for mattresses, baby cribs or car seats, broken torn or stained furniture, and torn, stained or worn-out clothing. Items may be dropped off at the HFTS receiving dock at the back of the building between the hours of 10AM – 6PM, Monday-Saturday. For volunteers interested in taking on one or more shifts, please email email@example.com or visit our site to fill out an online volunteer application at www.hopefamilythrift.org.
Thank you for your continued support!
